Swift answers Imation’s 3PL needs

Imation, a global leader in removable storage media, recently appointed Swift Freight International as its 3PL partner in GCC countries and Africa.

Swift, founded in 1989, is a leading logistics provider and freight forwarder in the UAE, serving countries in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, which will complement Imation’s distribution channels.

Swift has state-of-the-art logistics and warehousing facilities in Jebel Ali and a sizable portion will be dedicated for Imation.

“Swift is already handling similar blue chip IT clients, offers value added services; and has state-of-the art logistics facilities, WMS, and excellent network in Middle East and Africa that offer Imation a strategic partnership,” said Riyaz Abdulla, Imation Business Manager-Middle East.

Swift has exclusive warehouse cells to store high value items and equipped to handle temperature sensitive like IT Hardware. Swift’s latest facility in Jebel Ali, Swift 5, has 12,000 pallets, out of which 3,000 pallets can be converted to cold storage, with temperature range of -18 to +18 degree C.

In terms of expansion, Swift Freight is proud to have been one of the first companies to reserve space in Dubai Logistics City (totaling 28,800 sq m) for a purpose built logistics center. Swift Freight will also have an additional 25,000 sq m airside facility at the new World Central Airport to provide smooth air connectivity for shipments.
